Microsoft Monitor on Tiger

Joe Wilcox of Jupiter Research: The Tiger Roars at Longhorn

Apple can claim leadership, while Microsoft appears to fall behind.
(…)
I would encourage the Longhorn marketing folks to take a long and really hard look at Apple’s Tiger informational pages. Focus is on user benefits and how to use some features.

You can bet not only the marketing folks in Redmond will be taking a long and really hard look at every aspect of the system!

(Hat tip to the Scobleizer … he even confirms it himself! Wowza! alright.)

YA Spanish Inquisition

The German Heise group reports in Telepolis on plans by the Spanish government (terrible World Lingo translation - Google doesn’t do any better either) to impose blanket censorship of the net at provider level - all under the guise of protecting intellectual property. Measures include speedy prosecution laws with wide-ranging powers granted to “Internet Police”.

In the light of their history, what else can one expect?

We say NO WAY, Jose!
STOP 1984!
