Windows’ (and Internet Explorer’s and Outlook’s etc. etc.) historic friendliness to malware may have given rise to an industry designed to deal with the problems it causes, but those companies surely knew if Microsoft ever sold better OS they’d have to find new work in any event. (Of course, I’d be wary of any solution Microsoft came up with here, given the blatant conflict of interest.)
